JOB OFFER DETAILS

Position:               1st Engineer (Pipe-laying)
Reports to:           Chief Engineer
Location:              Offshore - Black Sea (Russian Federation)
Rotation:              56 days “on” / 28 days “off”
Working Hours:     12 hours  / day
Daily Rate:           To be advised
Other Details:       Accommodation, Travel, Insurance and Medical provided by the client
Start Date:           End February - Beginning of March 2010
            

JOB DESCRIPTION

Basic Function:
Maintaining and repairing of all technical equipment on board

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the watch in the Engine control room and to assure the power distribution on the Barge
Responsible for ballasting the Barge in coordination with the Superintendent and Master
Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water in the different ballast conditions
In charge of taking the proper measures when a failure occurs or when alarms go on
Supervise the job of the Motorman, and instruct him if necessary during tool box or pre job meetings
Supervise the order, cleanliness and house keeping at engine site
Maintain the mechanical equipment when required by the Chief Engineer

Others:
Good communication skills and proper knowledge of the English language.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience preferably in oil and gas industry.
