Position: Chief Electrician (Pipe-laying) Reports to: Chief Engineer Location: Offshore - Black Sea (Russian Federation) Rotation: 56 days “on” / 28 days “off” Working Hours: 12 hours / day Daily Rate: To be advised Other Details: Accommodation, Travel, Insurance and Medical provided by the client Start Date: End February - Beginning of March 2010
JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic Function: In charge of maintenance, repair, modification and procurement of all electronic equipment on board
Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for the planning of the maintenance and the repair of all electrical equipment on board Responsible for applying the P.M.S (Planned Maintenance System) and to record it in the log book Responsible for the stock management and to order all the spare parts related to the electrical equipment Responsible to conduct regular checks to verify if all electrical equipment is in a safe working condition Supervise the order, cleanliness and house keeping at electrician workshop, electrical stores and around all electrical equipment Supervise and participate if necessary at the daily maintenance of the electrical parts of the whole machinery He must report to the Chief Engineer for any abnormal situation Plan, order or perform any jobs requested by the Chief Engineer or requested by the other Departments for electrical equipment Maintain the welding equipment and work in close relation with the Welder Foreman Evaluate and assist installation of electrical equipment for subcontractors on board
Others: As senior staff he must be a example to his co-workers and play a pro-active role in HSE matters. Good communication skills and proper knowledge of the English language.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience preferably in oil and gas industry.
