JOB OFFER DETAILS
Position: Chief Engineer (Pipe-laying) Reports to: Barge Master / Superintendent Location: Offshore - Black Sea (Russian Federation) Rotation: 56 days “on” / 28 days “off” Working Hours: 12 hours / day Daily Rate: To be advised Other Details: Accommodation, Travel, Insurance and Medical provided by the client Start Date: End February - Beginning of March 2010
JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic Function: In Charge of all technical matters on board
Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of the maintenance planning for all equipment Responsible for the maintenance and the repair of all equipment and material on board Responsible to apply the Planned Maintenance System and to record on it. Conduct regular checks to verify all equipment is in a safe working condition Supervise the order, cleanliness and house keeping at mechanical site and around equipment Participates if necessary in the maintenance of the equipment Report to the barge master and superintendent any abnormal situation that can affect any barge operation Supervise the crew to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the equipment Report to the technical superintendent onshore
Education: Higher technical study
Others: Extensive knowledge of all marine equipment capabilities and limitations. Good communication skills and proper knowledge of the English language.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience preferably in oil and gas industry.
